Here we are, it’s Indy / GC600 (whatever you want to call it, personally I like Indy better) weekend which means we’re on Summer’s doorstep. Of course we all know summer leads to Coast weekends, and Coast weekends lead to most likely going out in Surfers or Broadbeach.
I’ll try to get to as many different places as possible on the Coast, so let’s see if we can find some half decent places down there.
Thursday night saw the night time fun of Indy begin, with plenty of holiday makers with maximum Indy spending money available (take note for next year).
I went to two different places in Surfers on Thursday night. The first was Sin City. I’d never been myself, and it wasn’t exactly what I’d expected. A lot smaller. But starting your night off there is a pretty good idea, just have a few pre drinks before heading in… I don’t know if I’d be as loving on this place if I went out completely sober.
The second place we went to is a pretty new place called Blush. Blush is located where Twentyone used to be (Orchid Ave, opposite Sin City). We only went in there by chance, but it’s a really nice looking place and you feel much cleaner in here than a lot of other places.
Just know that Blush has your above average amount of dancers/ pole dancers/ etc than other places that have them, they’re not there to make cash but more so to give people something extra to look at while drinking. On your busy nights (Friday and Saturday) they open up the back section on the club which is a gorgeous louge that has extra comfy seating to relax and watch some dancing if you so wish!
The middle section is the ‘nightclub’ part of the place and there’s also a smaller louge at the very front of the club. I really have to commend them on music in there, it’s not Gold Coast trashy music you’d normally expect to hear.
Expect to pay cover - I overheard $20 for guys around 11pm on Friday night, but considering the ample amount of girls in there dancing you can understand it.

And the final place I was lucky enough to get to on the Coast this weekend was The Club at Jupiters (high rollers area). Just being able to go there and have a look around, play some games, and work on a few free cocktails was a lot of fun. Oh and it’s about the only place I’ve ever been that allows smoking inside!
